It started with one notebook.

And a workshop where measurements went missing, balances were forgotten and the phone never stopped ringing with “is it ready?”.

A tailor at his worktable, smiling at his phone, with fabrics and a tape measure around him

ThimbleKit began in my brother’s workshop.

He’s good at his craft. But the business around it lived in a notebook, a stack of WhatsApp chats and his memory. Measurements were written on whatever paper was close. A client’s balance was “I’ll remember”. And every week, someone called to ask if their order was ready, while he was busy making it.

We thought it was his problem. Then we met cobblers, bakers, carpenters and jewellers, and found the exact same notebook on every bench. Different crafts, the same worries: who owes what, what’s due on Saturday, where did I write her sizes.

The tools that existed were made for shops with laptops and steady internet, or for one craft only. So we built a workshop book for the way makers here actually work: on a phone, often on weak data, with clients who live on WhatsApp.

ThimbleKit keeps every client, measurement, deadline and payment in one quiet place, and gives each client a link to follow their order. And it’s free while it’s new.

What we hold to.

The phone you already have
No laptop, no new device. ThimbleKit is built for a budget Android on weak data, because that’s what is on most workbenches.
Clients deserve to know
Most “is it ready?” calls come from not knowing. A tracking link answers them before they’re asked, and makes the maker look as good as their work.
Your records are yours
Clients, measurements, orders and payments can be exported anytime. If you leave, your book leaves with you.
Every craft, not just one
A cobbler’s book isn’t a tailor’s. Each craft starts with its own fields and stages, and anyone can shape their own.

Your craft, in order.

Free while ThimbleKit is new. Set up in five minutes, on the phone you already have.
